Home Depot

There are some companies that are considered to be the best and the leading companies in their industry but they still are the subjects to criticism. For example Home Depot company is the largest home improvement retailer in the country and one of the leading general retailers. Nevertheless, there are many controversies that cast some doubts upon the reputation of Home Depot.

About the company. Home Depot is one of the leading retailers of home improvement and other related products and services. The company operates several thousands of huge stores all over the United States. Besides, the company operates a number of stores in Canada, Mexico and even in China. Home Depot provides a complete line of improvement products such as household appliances, tools, hardware, building materials, flooring supplies, garden supplies, lumber, paint and thousands of other necessary things. The company is known for its large warehouses that are much bigger than the facilities of the rivals of Home Depot. The company sponsors many different sports events and other entertainment events and the management of the company considers that it is very important to participate in different charitable events.

About the problems. The have been a lot of complaints filed against the company after the lawsuit that was filed by the former Home Depot employee. That person alleged that the management of the company forced him to make unwarranted charge backs against vendors. According to him, this was made to cover defective products. The case has not been settled yet, but some customers have already decided to change the retailer. And it costs significantly more for Home Depot to attract new customers now. The offended employee has shared his experience with much more people than the happy customers of Home Depot have ever shared. And even if the whistleblower would not win the case, he has already made so much damage to the company that it will take a long time to compensate it. And people keep on reading the news about the litigation and try to understand whether it is worth shopping with Home Depot or not.
